Grand Père dans l’sirop d’érable/ Grand Dad in the maple syrup

On those long days of waiting for the maple sap to flow, we decide to explore different ways to incorporate maple syrup in incredible recipes. Here is one of the ways to use maple syrup in a dessert dish:

1 1/2 cup of flour

3 1/2 tea spoons of baking powder

pinch of salt

2 table spoons of soft butter at room temperature

1 cup of milk

2 cups of RedMill maple syrup

1 cup of water

In a bowl, add all the dry ingredients. Incorporate the butter into the mix, add the milk and mix until you have a smooth dough. In a pot put the maple syrup and the water together and bring it up to a boil. Once the maple syrup is boiling, add the dough with a spoon to make some dough-balls in the maple syrup. Cover and let it cook for 10 min. at medium temp.

There you have it, Grand Dad in the maple syrup! Simple and delicious!
