- 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp of baking powder
- 2 tbsp of sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup of whole milk (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup of butter (melted)
- 3 tbsp of maple butter
Whisk all dry ingredients in a bowl separately. Mix and whisk wet ingredients together. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and gently combine with a fork. Don’t over mix, that is the secret to the fluffy ness.
In a medium sized pan, add vegetable oil and turn on to medium heat. Cook on both sides until golden brown.
Serve with a generous dollop of maple butter.
